Photoshop adds Chromebook back up through its new web interface — hither'southward how information technology works

Adobe Photoshop is the aureate standard for photo editing, but despite the tremendous growth of Chrome OS laptops in recent years, millions of Chromebook owners couldn't admission Photoshop –– until at present.

Adobe just announced a new web-based Photoshop on its blog that is accessible to Photoshop or Creative Cloud subscribers in open beta currently (via PCWorld).

While the ability to use Photoshop in whatsoever capacity from your browser and, past extension, a Chromebook is expert news, the downside is that information technology is much more limited than the total desktop version of the software. Even Adobe says in its blog post that the web version of Photoshop is there to brand "light edits."

Y'all can use Photoshop on the web in either Chrome or Microsoft Border, and it includes a basic editing characteristic set for at present. However, there are plans to expand it in the time to come. At present, the bachelor tools include elementary layers, selection tools, masking, pigment tools, eraser, paint bucket, text tools, cropping and a handful of others.

Notably, this offers some advantages over traditional Photoshop every bit you lot tin can now share Photoshop images with anyone and allow them to open up, view, edit and provide feedback on the images without having to download or install anything.
